bq - Boolean algebra calculator for QCA

SYNOPSIS

bq [-y FILE] [-p PRECISION] formula [formula ...]

DESCRIPTION

Compute formula for each observation in FILE. formula is a algebraic equation of condition names from the dataset, joined by the Boolean operations of multiplication (x*y), addition (x+y), or negation (~x).

Mandatory arguments to long options are also mandatory for short options.

OPTIONS

-p, --precision=PRECISION

Number of decimals to round to (default=2)

-y, --input=FILE

if absent, or when FILE is -, read standard input

-i, --ignore-case

ignore case distinctions in both formulas and dataset. Conflicts with -I.

-I, --respect-case

in formulas, negate downcased terms. Permits use of conventional UPPERCASE/lowercase QCA notation in formulas. Conflicts with -i.

-h, --help

Display help and exit

-v, --version

Output version information and exit
